### Account Information (Sign in with Apple)

When you sign in to SkyVista using **Sign in with Apple**, we collect and store the following information:

- **Apple ID User Identifier**: A unique identifier provided by Apple to manage your account.
- **Email Address**: Your Apple ID email (or private relay email if you choose to hide your email).
- **Name**: Your display name from your Apple ID (if you choose to share it).

**How We Use This Information:**
- To create and maintain your personalized account across devices.
- To sync your preferences, favorites, and unlocked features.
- To provide a personalized weather experience.
- To manage your subscription status and Pro features.

**Important:** We never share your Apple ID information with third parties for advertising, marketing, or any other commercial purposes. Your authentication data is used solely to provide and enhance your experience within SkyVista.

### User Preferences & App Data

SkyVista stores the following information associated with your account:

- **Favorite Cities**: Cities you have marked as favorites.
- **Home City**: Your selected home city preference.
- **Temperature Unit**: Your preference for Celsius or Fahrenheit.
- **Credits & Unlocks**: Your current credit balance and simulation unlock status.

**Storage:** This information is stored both locally on your device (AsyncStorage) and synced to our secure servers when you are signed in, allowing you to access your preferences across multiple devices. 

### Location Data

When you use the app's location features, we may access your device's GPS location to provide local weather data. 
- **Usage**: Your location is used solely to fetch weather data for your current area.
- **Privacy**: We do not store your location history on our servers. Location data is processed locally and sent to weather providers only to retrieve relevant weather information.
- **Third Parties**: We do not sell or share your location data with third parties or advertisers.

### Subscription & Payment Data

SkyVista offers optional "Pro" subscriptions (SkyVista Pro Annual and SkyVista Pro Monthly) for enhanced features.

- **Payment Processing**: All payments are processed securely by the **Apple App Store**. SkyVista does not collect or store your credit card numbers, bank account details, or other payment credentials.
- **Subscription Management**: We use **RevenueCat** to manage subscription status and verify purchases. RevenueCat receives anonymized transaction identifiers to ensure your "Pro" features are active across your devices. No personally identifiable information (PII) is shared with RevenueCat by us.
- **Subscription Data Retention**: We retain anonymized subscription status information only for the duration necessary to provide you with Pro features. If you cancel your subscription, your status is updated at the end of your billing period.

## Third-Party Services

### Weather Data Providers

SkyVista uses **Open-Meteo** (https://open-meteo.com/) to provide real-time weather data. 
- When you request weather information, we send only the latitude and longitude coordinates of the city to Open-Meteo.
- No personal information is sent to or collected by Open-Meteo.
- Weather data is fetched in real-time and is not stored by Open-Meteo in association with any user identifier.

We also use **Geoapify** for city search and location services, which follows similar privacy-first principles.
- Only the search queries you enter are sent to resolve location names.
- No personal data or device identifiers are shared.

### RevenueCat
Used for managing in-app subscriptions. RevenueCat helps us track which features you have unlocked without needing to know your identity. For more information, see RevenueCat's Privacy Policy at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.

### Apple Sign In & Payment Processing
**Sign in with Apple**: We use Apple's authentication service to provide secure account access. Apple provides us with a unique user identifier and optional email/name information. **Payment Processing**: Handles all financial transactions and payment data for subscriptions. Please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle your payment information.

## Data Usage and Sharing
